Announcements & Connection Links 2/8/25
Dear TBC Family and Friends,
Thankfully the snow will be largely over in time for us to have the parking lots and sidewalks cleared off before Sunday School and Church. I do appreciate everyone who dives in and helps with snow removal. However, if the roads are not cleared or you feel it would be unsafe to drive in, we invite you to join us on our livestream.
On Sunday morning I plan to look at the 4th of 5 "spokes" in the Wheel that illustrates the Basics of the Christian Life. I trust you will put these truths into practice as I believe they will keep you strong in the faith. This is a great way for you to help newer believers and even your children as years go by. I have used it many times through the years to help disciple newer Chrisitans.
Sunday evening I want to look at a passage in Acts that will cover a topic we will not have time on Sunday morning to explain but I believe will help you maintain a good balance and understanding in your Christian walk. After the "briefer than normal" message, we will have a pizza fellowship which will be followed by an evening of either watching the Superbowl or fellowshipping or playiing in the gym.
Thank you for your patience with me, especially in the past few weeks and months. I believe God is helping us to navigate the changes that are necessary.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. TASTE OF FELLOWSHIP: All ladies are invited to the next Taste of Fellowship on Monday night, February 10th at 6pm at the Hibachi Grill Buffet in Manchester. If you can come, please text Melanie or reply to this email so we can hold a seat for you. This is a time of low key community where you can bring a friend. Everyone pays for their own meal.
2. SUPERBOWL FELLOWSHIP: After the Sunday evening service on Sunday, February 9th, we will have pizza and sides and will have the Super Bowl playing in the auditorium for anyone who wants to stay to watch. Please let Melanie know if you plan to attend so we can plan how much pizza to order. We also ask every family attending to bring a large dessert or side dish to share with everyone.
3. TEEN AFTERGLOW: All teens are invited to an afterglow (an informal hangout time with a Bible challenge and food) on Sunday, February 16th, from 7:15-8:45pm after the evening service. The afterglow is hosted by the Powells in the gymnasium. Parents should pick their kids up from the gym at 8:45pm.
4. RAISED IN GLORY: All girls ages 5-18 are invited to join us for the 2025 winter/spring semester of Raised in Glory discipleship and worship dance. Raised in Glory is a group of young ladies devoted to knowing and loving God and His Word, helping each other grow closer to Him, and using worship dance to praise Him and bring Him glory! We will be meeting on Fridays at TBC 4:30-5:30pm, starting on February 7th. The cost is $15/girl. Signups are available on the TBC website. If you have any questions, please contact Lydia van Achterberg. ALSO, this semester we are trying something new... any women 19 and older are invited to join us from 4:30-5:30pm to have their own beginner class. (They should sign up as well using the link and will still need to pay the $15. Only the 5-18 year old girls will be performing at the end of the semester.)
5. BABY SHOWER FOR LAUREN GEORGE: All women and teen girls are invited to a baby shower for Lauren George on Saturday, February 22 at 12pm at TBC in the basement Fellowship Hall. We are asking for people to sign up to bring a food item. The sign up list will be in the lobby on the coffee bar. Lauren is registered at this link, and the gender of the baby will be a surprise at birth. :) In lieu of cards, if you can, please bring a children's book signed with your name and a wish of blessing for the baby.

Full of practical, straight to the point instruction, we will learn how to better be “doers of the Word, and not hearers only” (James 1:22), by uncompromisingly putting our faith into action! They meet in a classroom in the gymnasium. All ladies are welcome.

Ken Sande and Kevin Johnson explore the nature of conflict and offer biblical steps to heal disputes. Discover how to see the situation clearly, overcome evil with good, be reconciled to your "enemy," and more. This class meets upstairs in the gym, and anyone is invited!
Sunday, 9:15am - The Book of 1st Peter (In Person & Zoom)
This class is studying the book of 1st Peter. We are seeing that Almighty God has called us out of an idolatrous, demonic world to be His ETERNAL ambassadors of light for Him in time. We are also seeing our ETERNAL position in Christ, contrary to that of a subjective, demonic position of darkness. We will pray from 9:15-9:30 and have some brief fellowship before diving into the Bible and discussions right around 9:30am. Anyone is welcome to join in the Young Adult room in the gym.
Sunday, 9:15am - Membership Class (Zoom By Request)
Pastor Rowley is teaching a rotating class focusing on what we believe and why we believe it. This class has time for Q&A each week and meets in the gym. Anyone is invited to join at any time.
Sunday, 10:30am - SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP SERVICE
The livestream can be accessed on Facebook and YouTube and our website 10-15 minutes before the start of the service.

Junior Church is for children ages 2-9 and begins after the morning worship time in the auditorium.
