Dear TBC Family and Friends,
Back to cold weather for a few days. However when we meet with God's people, God promises to be in our midst encouraging us with the truth of His Word and the warmth of His presence and fellowship with other believers.
Tomorrow morning we are looking at the 3rd of 5 spokes in the wheel that illustrates the important basics of the Christian life. These messages are vital for every believer.
Sunday evening we will have a Family Meeting. If you have any questions, you can send them to this email. Thank you for praying during this important time.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. TBC FAMILY MEETING: We will be having a TBC Family Meeting on Sunday evening, February 2nd at 6pm. Anyone who considers themselves a regular part of our church family is invited to attend. Please text Melanie at 860-906-6783 to get a Zoom link to join if you need to watch via Zoom. Childcare will be provided for ages 10 and under.
Our ongoing goal as a leadership team is to be unified as we bring our recommendation to the church for an upcoming vote. We are eager to discuss our options with you for pastoral transition and possibly working with Vital Church and an Intentional Interim Pastor. In the meantime, please share your thoughts and questions with us. As you do, we encourage you to talk with multiple people on the leadership team (pastors, staff or deacons) if possible.
We also encourage you to submit any questions you have in advance by replying to this email. We will do our best to prepare for and answer your questions.
Please continue to keep us in prayer …that we’ll have good communication, that we’ll clearly see God’s perspective about the options we have, that we will trust God and His sovereignty, and that the Lord will ultimately lead our whole congregation in God’s peace through this crucial transition from our founding pastor to our next long-term pastor. Thank you.
2. BAPTISM: We will be having a baptism this Sunday, February 2nd after the morning service.
3. MEN'S BOWLING & FELLOWSHIP ACTIVITY: All men and teen boys are invited to join us for some fun bowling & fellowship on Feb 8th @ 5PM at Revolutions Bowling in South Windsor! Feel free to bring a friend as well! The cost is $20 per person for 2 hours of shoe rental and bowling, but if you want to come and not bowl, please RSVP as well (no cost). Pizza will also be provided! Please see details and RSVP by texting "BOWLING" to (860) 289-8976 or by using this link.
4. SUPERBOWL FELLOWSHIP: After the Sunday evening service on Sunday, February 9th, we will have pizza and sides and will have the Super Bowl playing in the auditorium for anyone who wants to stay to watch. Please let Melanie know if you plan to attend so we can plan how much pizza to order. We also ask every family attending to bring a large dessert or side dish to share with everyone.
5. RAISED IN GLORY: All girls ages 5-18 are invited to join us for the 2025 winter/spring semester of Raised in Glory discipleship and worship dance. Raised in Glory is a group of young ladies devoted to knowing and loving God and His Word, helping each other grow closer to Him, and using worship dance to praise Him and bring Him glory! We will be meeting on Fridays at TBC 4:30-5:30pm, starting on February 7th. The cost is $15/girl. Signups are available on the TBC website. If you have any questions, please contact Lydia van Achterberg. ALSO, this semester we are trying something new... any women 19 and older are invited to join us from 4:30-5:30pm to have their own beginner class. (They should sign up as well using the link and will still need to pay the $15. Only the 5-18 year old girls will be performing at the end of the semester.)
6. BABY SHOWER FOR LAUREN GEORGE: All women and teen girls are invited to a baby shower for Lauren George on Saturday, February 22 at 12pm at TBC in the basement Fellowship Hall. We are asking for people to sign up to bring a food item. The sign up list will be in the lobby on the coffee bar. Lauren is registered at this link, and the gender of the baby will be a surprise at birth. :) In lieu of cards, if you can, please bring a children's book signed with your name and a wish of blessing for the baby.

Join us as we dive into the book of James, Christianity 101, if you will! Full of practical, straight to the point instruction, we will learn how to better be “doers of the Word, and not hearers only” (James 1:22), by uncompromisingly putting our faith into action! They meet in a classroom in the gymnasium. All ladies are welcome.

Eli & Madeline, Keith and Wendy, and Jesse and Kim are heading up this series. Jesus said, "Blessed are the peacemakers." But how can we restore harmony to our relationships? Ken Sande and Kevin Johnson explore the nature of conflict and offer biblical steps to heal disputes. Discover how to see the situation clearly, overcome evil with good, be reconciled to your "enemy," and more. This class meets upstairs in the gym, and anyone is invited!
Sunday, 9:15am - The Book of 1st Peter (In Person & Zoom)
This class is studying the book of 1st Peter. We are seeing that Almighty God has called us out of an idolatrous, demonic world to be His ETERNAL ambassadors of light for Him in time. We are also seeing our ETERNAL position in Christ, contrary to that of a subjective, demonic position of darkness. We will pray from 9:15-9:30 and have some brief fellowship before diving into the Bible and discussions right around 9:30am. Anyone is welcome to join in the Young Adult room in the gym.
Sunday, 9:15am - Membership Class (Zoom By Request)
Pastor Rowley is teaching a rotating class focusing on what we believe and why we believe it. This class has time for Q&A each week and meets in the gym. Anyone is invited to join at any time.
Sunday, 10:30am - SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP SERVICE
The livestream can be accessed on Facebook and YouTube and our website 10-15 minutes before the start of the service.
Sunday, 10:50am - Junior Church
Junior Church is for children ages 2-9 and begins after the morning worship time in the auditorium.
