Announcements & Connection Links 2/15/25

Dear TBC Family and Friends,

I am sure that many of you are getting a sense of déjà vu as we prepare for snow that will go into the morning hours. Like last Sunday, we plan on having the parking lots and sidewalks cleared for all of you who can safely come to the main service at 10:30am.  However, we will be canceling the normal Sunday School and ABF programming to give a little more time for clearing out.  If you would like to come at the 9:15 hour to pray for our church, we will have a prayer meeting going at that time in the room across from the church office.  We truly appreciate the work that a number of you do to remove the snow on the premises. If you are not able to make the morning service in person safely, please join us on our livestream.

Tomorrow morning we will be considering what the Scriptures say about one of the most searched words online: Love. In a world that associates the word love with just about everything, it is important for us as believers to know the truth about love and what it looks like when we live it out in all our relationships. This can be literally life-changing for many!

For the evening service, we are grateful that Pastor Dan Wolf will join us and bring what the Lord has put in his heart.  Rob Hanover will also be giving a missionary update on the Cerna family in El Salvador.

For those of you with teens, the evening service will be followed by a teen Afterglow in the gym.

In Christ,

Eli

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1.  TEEN AFTERGLOW:  All teens are invited to an afterglow (an informal hangout time with a Bible challenge and food) this Sunday night, February 16th, from 7:15-8:45pm after the evening service.  The afterglow is hosted by the Powells in the gymnasium. Parents should pick their kids up from the gym at 8:45pm.

3.  BABY SHOWER FOR LAUREN GEORGE:  All women and teen girls are invited to a baby shower for Lauren George on Saturday, February 22 at 12pm at TBC in the basement Fellowship Hall.  We are asking for people to sign up to bring a food item.  The sign up list will be in the lobby on the coffee bar.  Lauren is registered at this link, and the gender of the baby will be a surprise at birth.  :) In lieu of cards, if you can, please bring a children's book signed with your name and a wish of blessing for the baby.

4.  PASTOR PAT HAND VISITING:  Pastor Pat Hand, the Intentional Interim Pastor with Vital Church Ministries, will be visiting our church on Saturday and Sunday, February 22nd and 23rd.  He will be preaching in the morning service on the 23rd.  He will be available at church on Saturday afternoon from 1-3pm for anyone who might want to pop in and talk with him in an informal setting.  No childcare will be provided.  He will be present before and after both services on Sunday and will be at the church fellowship in the evening as well.  TBC Members will be voting in early March on this question:  Shall we hire Vital Church Ministry to provide us a team of counsel and Pat Hand as an Intentional Interim Pastor to help us transition to our next lead pastor?
