Announcements & Connection Opportunities 8/24/24
Dear TBC Family and Friends,
I hope you have enjoyed the great weather. If there are perfect days, surely today and yesterday were some of them.
Tomorrow we are going to look at a big topic -- Reconciliation. We have become alienated from God and have become enemies of God by wicked works that result from sinful thinking. I have met people who say, there is no hope for me. I have grievously sinned. We will ask, "Is there any person who is "beyond hope of being reconciled" to God?"
I am excited about Sunday evening because we have great topics to discuss in both the Men's and Women's meetings. Please come to listen, discuss, be challenged and changed. Afterward we will have a fellowship meal together in the gym.
The first Sunday in September I am encouraging any person who is not a member but would like to find out more about membership at TBC to come at 9:25 to my membership class in the gym. If you have any questions, I would love to talk to you.
Also, September is a great time to get into a Life Group to get connected to other believers during the week. See Keven Tower for a list of Life Groups or if you have questions. He would be excited to talk to you.
Keep praying, witnessing, serving. God is real and God is good. It is worth the effort!

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. MEN'S & WOMENS' MINISTRY & FELLOWSHIP: The men and the women (including teens age 12 and up) will meet separately for a time of encouragement and community this Sunday evening, August 25th, at 6pm. We will have a fellowship meal following the meetings around 7:15pm. We are asking each family to bring a large main dish, salad, or side that fits this description... "A summer picnic." That's just to keep things fun, but really, we need you to bring enough food to feed your family and several others. :) We will also have ice cream cones provided by the church!
2. NEW MEMBERS CLASS: Beginning September 3rd, Pastor Rowley will be starting a new Adult Bible Fellowship class that meets in the gym at 9:15am on Sunday mornings for anyone interested in learning more about becoming a member and the core doctrines we believe. Even if you're not sure if you want to be a member, this class is for you!
3. MISSIONARY VISIT: We will have Todd and Sara Hudson, our missionaries to Austria, with us on Sunday, September 1st.
4. HERMENEUTICS CLASS: Pastor Rowley has started teaching a 4-5 week Hermeneutics class (how to interpret the Bible) at church on Sunday afternoons. If you are interested in joining, please let PR know. He will be providing lunch as well for the people attending class. Please RSVP to PR so he knows how much food to prepare for.
5. SOCCER LINK FOR REGISTRATION - ROUND 2: The soccer league is getting full! If you haven't registered, please visit our website and register ASAP! We want to make this ministry a community outreach, so please also invite your neighbors and unchurched friends! If you have any questions on this please reach out to Keith Tower.
6. WEDDING INVITATION: Everyone at TBC is invited to Hannah Bush and Ryan Kruse’s wedding at noon on November 9th at TBC followed by a lunch reception in the gymnasium. Please let Hannah know if you plan to attend the wedding and/or the reception by September 15th. Children are welcome. In lieu of gifts, Hannah and Ryan would love any sort of note you’d like to send for them to read on their drive to PA.

Several ladies will be co-teaching this class over the summer. They meet in a classroom in the gymnasium. All ladies are welcome.
Sunday, 9:15am – Art of Marriage
Eli & Madeline are heading up the Art of Marriage series designed to inspire and equip today’s couples: whether newly married, seasoned, empty nesters, or part of a blended family. The series presents six aspects of God’s powerful and perfect love, and how it can be be understood and applied to our lives and our marriages, in light of who we are in Christ. This class meets upstairs in the gym, and anyone is invited!
Sunday, 9:15am - The Book of 1st Peter (In Person & Zoom)
This class is studying the book of 1st Peter. We are seeing that Almighty God has called us out of an idolatrous, demonic world to be His ETERNAL ambassadors of light for Him in time. We are also seeing our ETERNAL position in Christ, contrary to that of a subjective, demonic position of darkness. We will pray from 9:15-9:30 and have some brief fellowship before diving into the Bible and discussions right around 9:30am. Anyone is welcome to join in the Young Adult room in the gym.
Sunday, 9:15am - Membership Class (Zoom By Request)
Pastor Rowley is teaching a rotating class focusing on what we believe and why we believe it. This class has time for Q&A each week and meets in the gym. Anyone is invited to join at any time.
Sunday, 10:30am - SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP SERVICE
The livestream can be accessed on Facebook and YouTube and our website 10-15 minutes before the start of the service.
Sunday, 10:50am - Junior Church
Junior Church is for children ages 2-11 and begins after the morning worship time in the auditorium.
Sunday, 5:00pm - Prayer Time for Church and Community Needs (Adult Classroom in Gym & on Zoom)

This life group is studying "The Power of Giving Thanks." Anyone is invited to join at church.

This life group is studying the life of Christ through the Gospels. Anyone is invited to join in person at church.
