Announcements & Connection Links 8/17/24
Dear TBC Family and Friends,
I trust you have had a good week. Tomorrow morning we have the privilege (and challenge) of meditating on Jesus Christ being the "Firstborn" of all creation and "Firstborn" from the dead. God's intention by these thoughts is that Jesus Christ is to be exalted and superior to all others. False cults misinterpret these verses to deny the deity and greatness of Christ. Please pray the the message will be as much a blessing to the church as it has been to me as I have studied for it.
Last Sunday evening we had a great time of testimonies of how God has made Himself real to each of us by providing needs -- often in unusual ways or at the perfect time. Sometimes it may not seem that God is providing as our resources run lower and lower. Elijah experienced this but seems not to have worried. I want to consider God's provision for Elijah and see how we can learn from his example.
The Bible Interpretation class got started off on a good note last Sunday at 1pm. Tomorrow we will be continuing our discussions. If you are involved in Sunday School or Junior Church, there will be a meeting at the same time which has the priority. You can catch back up next week. I really appreciate Hannah Bush and Amy Pepe doing a good job with the children's ministry.
Keep praying, witnessing, serving. God is real and God is good. It is worth the effort!
