Dear TBC Family and Friends,
Tomorrow is Mother's Day. Keith is going to be giving a message related to mothers. We have a special gift for all women tomorrow. We are so grateful for the good example of the women and mothers in our church. Please pray especially for visitors as Mother's Day is usually a time that we have special visitors who are either mothers that have been invited or children who come to honor their mothers.
Sunday evening we will not have a regular service so people can spend time as families including extended families. For those who do not have a family gathering, the Rowleys are inviting anyone who is free to come to their home at 30 Fellows Ln, East Hartford, at 6pm to eat pizza and have a time of fellowship together. If you could, please let Deanna know so we will know how much pizza to order. Talk to her or text her at 860-593-4005.
A note about the Hermeneutics classes: The first 4 messages/lessons will be for everyone on Sunday evenings beginning June 2. There is no evening service this week. Next week Daniel is going to have a music, meditation, sing-a-long. The last Sunday evening of the month will be the Men's and Women's ministries.
As the weather warms up, I would like to start knocking on some doors on Saturdays from about 2pm to 4pm when it is not raining and that I am able. If you would like to be involved in at least inviting people to come to church and searching for people that God is drawing to Himself, let me know. I would love to have several groups that could move this ministry forward.
The Lord has given me extra time (no buildings to build or major repairs required!). Let me know if you would like a visit or to meet for coffee.. I love all of you. PR
ANNOUNCEMENTS:

2. LADIES TASTE OF FELLOWSHIP: All ladies are invited to join us for a time of fellowship at the Hibachi Buffet on Slater Street in Manchester this Monday evening, May 13th, at 6pm. We each pay for ourselves (the buffet is $16.99 plus tax and tip). Come for a relaxed time of food and fellowship.
3. SUMMER SUPPER SIX: Join our Summer Supper Six for a fun time of dinner connection from June through August! Participants will be placed in groups of 6-8 to share monthly dinners, with each member contributing a dish each time you meet. Dinners can be hosted at a member's home (hosting responsibilities can rotate) or at the church’s Fellowship Hall or Gym—please coordinate with Melanie for reserving church space. Sign up by texting SUPPER to 860-289-8976 or by clicking this link by May 15th, and enjoy great food and fellowship this summer! Singles and couples 18 years old and older can sign up. No childcare will be provided, but some groups will be child friendly, if needed. If you have any questions, please see Melanie or reply to this email.
4. VBS VOLUNTEER MEETING: All VBS volunteers should join us for a detailed VBS meeting on May 19th in the sanctuary after morning service. We will be reviewing the schedule, teaching teams, passing out T-shirts and more!
5. SUNDAY SCHOOL PROMOTION: Promotion Sunday will be on June 2nd right at 9:15am in the auditorium. Please join our children and teen classes in the sanctuary to celebrate the graduates!
6. VBS REGISTRATION IS OPEN: VBS registration is open! Please visit our website to register, and invite your friends ages 4-12 years. VBS is July 8th - 12th, 6:30pm - 8:30pm at TBC. If you would like to teach or help with VBS, please let Hannah Bush know. We need many hands!

Come discuss how and why we need to evangelize! It's not too late to join this class that Skip Mission is teaching. Anyone is invited to join. This class meets in the classroom across from the church office.
Sunday, 9:15am - Discipleship Training Class
Kevin Tower is teaching a 12-15 week class for those interested in getting training in how to become an effective disciple maker. We encourage all regular attenders to attend this class at some point! This class meets in a classroom down below the auditorium lobby. Anyone is invited to join!
Sunday, 9:15am - Ladies' Bible Study and Prayer
Beth Mission is teaching on the topic of Lament from Psalms. They meet in a classroom in the gymnasium. All ladies are welcome.
Sunday, 9:15am – Love In Chaos
Jesse and Kim Christophel are doing a study called Love In Chaos by Bob Goff. How should Christians respond to the chaos in our world today? We will discuss what it looks like to follow Jesus and obey his commands. Each session will start with a 10 minute video, followed by discussion, scripture reading, and prayer together.
Sunday, 9:15am - The Book of 1st Peter (In Person & Zoom)
This class is studying the book of 1st Peter. We are seeing that Almighty God has called us out of an idolatrous, demonic world to be His ETERNAL ambassadors of light for Him in time. We are also seeing our ETERNAL position in Christ, contrary to that of a subjective, demonic position of darkness. We will pray from 9:15-9:30 and have some brief fellowship before diving into the Bible and discussions right around 9:30am. Anyone is welcome to join in the Young Adult room in the gym.
Sunday, 9:15am - Membership Class (Zoom By Request)
Pastor Rowley is teaching a rotating class focusing on what we believe and why we believe it. This class has time for Q&A each week and meets in the gym. Anyone is invited to join at any time.
Sunday, 10:30am - SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP SERVICE
The livestream can be accessed on Facebook and YouTube and our website 10-15 minutes before the start of the service.

Junior Church is for children ages 2-11 and begins after the morning worship time in the auditorium.
