Announcements & Connection Links 7/13/24
Dear TBC Family and Friends,
I want to thank everyone who worked hard to make VBS a great success. In years to come the children will remember the good experience of being involved with people who love them and who love God. This will help them when the temptations come to turn away from God. Also, it was tremendous to see so many adults and teens dive in and do their best. VBS week can be tiring, but God really uses it in many ways. Thank you for serving and praying.
Have you ever asked, "What is the most important truth that a person can learn from the Bible?" Tomorrow morning we are entering a section of scripture that contains the most concentrated teaching in scripture focused on the most important topic.
Is it possible to really know truth? Sunday evening, we will focus on basics of proper Bible interpretation. Three weeks ago we looked at the first principle. I will pass out a list of 8 principles and attempt to explain and illustrate how to use them to properly interpret scripture.
Keep going for God. I love you. -PR
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. BAPTISM: If you would like to be baptized, please see Pastor Rodriguez. Our next baptism is on Sunday, July 28th.
2. CHURCH SURVEY: The church-wide survey is closing tomorrow, Sunday, July 14th. Please pray for clarity as our church body submits to this process and to what God has for us in the coming months and years. Before you begin the survey take the time personally to calm your heart and ask for the Spirit to guide and direct you as you work through the survey. If you feel like someone may not have received the survey that you would like to get the survey please reply to this email. If they did not get it we can certainly send the survey to them. The survey will take approximately 30 minutes to fill out, so please plan ahead some time to be able to take it! This is an individual survey, so each member of the family aged 15 and older should take the survey separately. Please use this link to take the survey. Also, please mark your calendars that we will be sharing the results of the survey on Sunday, September 8th in the afternoon.
3. PRAYER MEETING: Do you have a burden for our church? Would you like to pray with like-minded people? Every Sunday evening at 5pm Pastor Rowley and some others gather in the room across from the church office to pray through a list of our church people and our missionaries. If you can come early on Sunday evening to pray, please join us!
4. THANK YOU!!!! Thank you to everyone who helped with VBS this week and/or prayed for VBS this week! We consistently had between 95-99 kids each night. The spirit was fun, and kids heard the Gospel clearly and felt loved by God and all the volunteers.
